SUTILEZA DEL BUITRE LEONADO ( Gyps fulvus )

 Es increíble con que delicadeza limpia o cuida sus plumas con ese tremendo pico, con el que desgarra pieles, carnes y otras partes corporales de los animales muertos que localizan. Una acción sutil que  he querido presentar para que ustedes disfruten también de ellas.

 El viernes pasado, día festivo recibo un mensaje que si seguía interesado en la fotografía de aves. Me faltó tiempo para  enfundarme el ropaje verdoso campero y salir como un tiro hacia el lugar. Unos amigos de Valverde de Leganés, José António y María Jesús, durante una de sus rutas de senderísmo habían dado con un grupo de unos treinta y tantos buitres leonados dando cuenta de una yegua que yacía muerta, evidentemente al ver a los humanos levantaron el vuelo.
Ya en el lugar, reconocimiento del terreno, orientación de luz, posicionaje,  etc...
El sábado muy  muy temprano a tomar posición y hacerles la espera, antes de llegar tuve que cargar con el equipo completo mas de 1 km. a pie, con tremenda helada, subidas y bajadas del terreno, una odisea. 7.30 horas todo colocado, esperando hasta cerca de las 11.45 que llegó el primero, algo mas tarde todos los demás en masa, no se posaron donde esperaba, allí frente y junto a la yegua inerte, aterrizaron junto a mi, a mi izquierda, los mas cercanos estaban a menos de 4 metros, la emoción era tremenda, el ruido de los enormes aletéos tan cerca impresionantes, ¡ como cortan el viento y el sonido que dejan a su paso !, ese momento es inolvidable. El primero que llegó se hizo dueño del lugar, no dejó acercarse a ningún otro a la carne, los empujaba con su agresividad,  abriendo alas, elevando sus patas  y enseñándoles las garras,  tanto que me hizo temer que rozarían contra mi aguardo y se fastidiase el evento, porque se asustarían , también temí que ante la avalancha de ellos que llegaron en gran grupo le diera a alguno en posarse sobre mi escondite y se espantasen . No llegaron a comer, mucho tiempo allí y no se acercaron al banquete, sobre las 12:45 un perro los hizo levantar el vuelo y fue la ultima toma que pude hacerles.
Eternamente agradecido a esta amable pareja ( José Antonio y Maria Jesús ) por la estupenda e irrepetible mañana que pude pasar entre estos grandes alados que surcan nuestros cielos Extemeños.

CONSTRUYENDO MI HIDROHIDE

 Intentaré explicar lo mejor posible los materiales y trabajo que he realizado para la construcción del hidro.
En primer lugar he conseguido dos cajas de corcholina, en este caso gris, y bastante compactas, esto para la parte delantera y varias planchas de unos 4 cms de grosor para las partes trasera izquierda y derecha, por que en el medio voy yo.
Una vez tengo el material flotante lo impermeabilizo con caucho, esa pintura roja que se ve en las fotos, pego las cajas y las de las partes traseras con cola blanca de carpintero y ademas con silicóna.
Una vez pegadas les uno la parte superior, es un tablero de un centímetro de espesor o grosor, la parte delantera tiene un metro de largo por 50 cms de ancho, las traseras 22 cms de ancho por 50 cms de largo, el hidro tiene 1 x 1 m. Antes de pegar la parte delantera he sujetado la placa que será el soporte de la rotula, los tornillos quedarán debajo y no se verán. Cola de carpintero y pegadas las maderas que serán la superficie del hidro, donde me apoyo y va la cámara.
Para que no ocupe demasiado en el maletero del coche lo hice plegable, la parte delantera va unida a las traseras mediante bisagras, así al plegarlo queda de un metro por cincuenta centímetros. Para que no molestase mucho conseguí dos cinturones de seguridad de automóviles y con una grapadora lo pegué bien alante en la tabla de la superficie, va por debajo, todo el largo del hidro, hasta que se conecta a la hebilla que podéis ver con la cinta azul, así hace fuerza y no se cierra si tengo que apoyarme demasiado en el mientras navego. Con unos tubos de instalación eléctrica reciclados hice el esqueleto, que será quien sujete la tela de camuflaje, si quito la parte de abajo de ellos queda mas bajo, esto según donde me meto y si hace falta, si no lo dejo alto, hasta ahora no he tenido ningún problema con los animales a fotografiar. Unos casquillos en la madera tapadera y allí entran los tubos, quedan firmes y seguros..
Hecho todo esto un poquito de pintura verderona a manchurrones y casi listo. La madera que hace de tapa superior sale como dos centímetros del material flotante, es ahí donde se grapa el velcro  y en la parte baja de la tela que nos cubrirá la otra parte del velcro. Como voy solo y he tenido muchas advertencias también hice una especie de arnés, como un cinturón de seguridad me lo cojo a los hombros, por el tórax, y se sujeta a los dos tubos del medio, no molesta lo mas mínimo y nunca se sabe lo que puede ocurrir.

CANASTERA COMÚN ( Glareola pratincola )

 Es especie de ave caradriforme. Observándola en vuelo se asemeja a las golondrinas, pero es algo mas grande.Su voz es aguda parecida a la del charrán. Anida en el suelo, un hoyo poco profundo es todo lo que necesitan. Es insectívora, se alimenta en vuelo cazando insectos. Estas tomas pude obtenerlas estando dentro del agua con el hidrohide ( aguardo flotante ) Muy muy cerca de Badajoz capital.
