El macho llegó a posarse relativamente cerca de mi, pude hacerle algunas tomas. Les gustan los terrenos abiertos o llanos, con matorrales donde hacer sus nidos. El macho como vemos en las fotos presenta el pecho rojizo en época de cría, las hembras y las crías no tienen ese rojo tan vistoso de los machos. Fotos hechas muy cerca de Badajoz capital.
